1. Accounts
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for everything done through it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
2. Animals, photos and your content
You keep the rights to the photos and texts you upload. You grant us the right to store, display and process them so the app can work: showing public posts, running the AI analysis, building Battle of the Pets and generating portraits you order.
You confirm that you may upload each photo and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
Posts you mark as public can be seen by anyone, including people who are not signed in.
3. Scores, Community Scores and Battles
AI scores, verdicts, Battle Power values and battle results are entertainment. They are not an assessment of an animal's health, value, breed quality or anything else.
Each person may give one Community Score per animal and one vote per battle matchup. Manipulating scores, votes, likes or follows — for example with multiple accounts or automated tools — is not allowed.
4. Following and notifications
You can follow other profiles and see their posts in your feed. Notifications are optional and can be turned off in your profile at any time.
5. Premium Fantasy Portrait (CHF 1.99)
A Premium Fantasy Portrait is a one-time purchase of CHF 1.99 that entitles you to one AI-generated fantasy portrait of your animal in the style you selected.
Payment runs through Stripe Checkout. The contract is concluded when Stripe confirms your payment; you then see a confirmation in the app and the portrait is generated.
One successful payment equals exactly one saved portrait. If generation fails for technical reasons, your purchase stays valid and you can retry it without paying again — you are never charged twice for the same portrait.
Generated images are fictional and playful. Once a portrait is generated the service is fully delivered, so the purchase is not refundable. If something goes wrong and no portrait was delivered, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.

6. Prohibited use
Do not upload photos showing animal cruelty, injury, illegal acts, hate, sexual content, or images of people used without their consent.
Do not upload content you have no rights to, attempt to break or overload the service, or bypass payment or access rules.
7. Suspension and termination
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law.
You can stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account at ratemyanimal.support@gmail.com.
8. Intellectual property
The app itself, its design, texts and software belong to the operator.
Portraits generated from your photo are yours to use privately and to share; we may display them inside the app where you have chosen to use them.
9. Availability, changes and liability
The service is provided as it is. We may change, extend or discontinue features, and short interruptions can occur.
Liability is limited to the extent permitted by Swiss law. Liability for intent and gross negligence, and for personal injury, remains unaffected.
10. Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of the operator, unless mandatory law — in particular consumer protection rules — provides otherwise.
